Valheim

Health and stamina, not hunger

Valheim food

Valheim food is a combat buff. Official store text grants health and stamina from meals instead of punishing hunger. 1.0 adds moose, seal, lingonberry, kale, oat, and Poteitr dishes plus the Northern Morning Fare feast. Mead stays in the same kitchen fantasy. The 1.0 names and eating trophies are listed here; health totals stay unpublished.

Eat before the Forsaken, not because a bar is empty

The system sentence is short: food grants health and stamina boons rather than punishing hunger. That is why a Meadows landing still tells you to cook, and why a Deep North push still tells you to restack meals. You are not dying of starvation on a timer. You are walking into Eikthyr or Kall Fimbulbringer with or without the extra health pool. Comfort in the hall is a separate rest bonus; Comfort is King is not a food trophy.

Steam rows that do belong here: The Cook (100 dishes), The Master Chef (every kind of dish), The Gourmet (every kind of edible item), No Adventuring On an Empty Stomach (eat 500 items of food), The Beekeeper (500 honey), The Farmer (500 crops), The Forager (250 berries and 250 mushrooms). Those numbers are achievement thresholds, not recipe outputs. Honey, crops, and forage are older loops that 1.0 did not delete.

Mead sits in the same kitchen. The URL is food and mead because the brewing fantasy is part of official Viking copy even when a specific 1.0 mead name is missing from the patch list. If Iron Gate did not name a new brew in the Deep North notes, no extra brew is added. Cauldron extensions such as the Smoker are crafting stations that feed this list; they are documented on Valheim crafting.

Deep North ingredients and the morning feast

Named 1.0 foods include Baked Poteitr, Cooked Moose Meat, Cooked Seal Blubber, Fish Soup, Kale, Kale Chips, Lingonberries, Lingonberry Juice, Luminous Larva, Meat In Bread, Meatballs and Poteitr, Oats, Oat Flour, Oat Milk, Oatmeal, Oven Pancake, Pancakes, Poteitr, Pulled Bear, Seal Meat Soup, Smoked Fish, Smoked Moose Meat, and the Northern Morning Fare feast. Moose is also listed as tameable and rideable in creature notes, which is why cooked moose appears here and on the fauna page.

Poteitr is a 1.0 crop-or-kitchen noun Iron Gate bothered to name twice, baked and in meatballs. Kale and oats are the northern field crops in the same list. Lingonberries continue the forage pattern of raspberries and blueberries from earlier lands. Seal blubber and seal meat soup are coastal. Luminous Larva is the odd animal product in the set. None of these rows include stamina totals because the notes do not.

Northern Morning Fare is the named feast. Feasts are shared tables, which is why the longhouse page mentions them. Eat them in a hall with comfort, then sail or hike. If you want fish specifically, The Fisherman is catch every kind of fish and A Catch Worthy of Njord is a four star fish; both are achievement rows, not cooking recipes. The kitchen still needs a cauldron and, in 1.0, a smoker if you want the smoked variants.

Pulled Bear sits on the 1.0 list even though bear is an older animal, which shows the northern kitchen still cooks pre-Deep-North meat. Pancakes and oven pancake sit beside oat milk and oatmeal, so the grain loop is more than porridge. Fish soup and smoked fish cover the sea. Lingonberry juice is the drink row. None of these replace the three-food combat stack from earlier biomes; they extend it with northern ingredients once Moose, Seal, kale, oats, and Poteitr are in the inventory.
